Welcome to "A TEACHable Moment" -The Door is Now Open Greetings Women of God Who Walked Through the Open Door of Ministry! Welcome to the introduction of A TEACHable Moment! A TEACHable Moment is the post-conference communication for the participants of the 2007 T.E.A.C.H. Ministries Conference “The Door is Now Open”. The purpose of this post-conference communication is to further equip and encourage you to continue to conform to the character of God through obedience to His Word from John 15:16 and Revelation 3:8 (the 2007 Conference scriptures). A TEACHable Moment is a means of accountability for the learning and application of the Word you were taught at the 2007 T.E.A.C.H. Ministries Conference. Each month beginning in February through August 2008, you will receive an electronic copy (via email) of A TEACHable Moment. A TEACHable Moment will focus on a particular “moment” of the spoken Word at the 2007 T.E.A.C.H. Ministries Conference. As you probably already know, A TEACHable Moment may not always be comfortable. It may cause you to confront yourself so that you can continue to bear that the fruit that is required of you. You may be wondering, “Why begin A TEACHable Moment now? It has been more than 90 days since the conference.” Research studies show that in order for change to take place from a learning event, the topic of the learning must continue to be brought forth to the learner. Depending on the content of the learning, people tend to stop applying what they have learned approximately 90 days after a learning event unless there is continuous reinforcement. A TEACHable Moment will reinforce what you learned through the spoken word. It is critical that we continue to apply what we learned at the 2007 conference concerning fruit and the open door. There are lives that are dependent on our application of this Word. We learned so much about the fruit that God expects us to bear. We committed to bear fruit as we walked through the “open door” of ministry. We must continue to apply this Word. The spiritual lives of people around us are dependent on what we learned last September. One of the most important lessons I have learned from studying the Word of God is that God loves fruit and He expects us to bear the fruit that He produces (John 15:16). Through the spoken Word of God, we were challenged by the T.E.A.C.H. Faculty to bear fruit that remains. The ministry during the 2007 Conference focused on the fruit criteria that must be met in order to walk through he open door God has set before us (Revelation 3:8). It is now time for us to be accountable for that fruit. Prepare yourself for what God has in store for you over the next seven months. Remember, accountability is not always desirable, but it is necessary for learning and growth in Christ and ministry. We are excited about A TEACHable Moment!
